Veterans Portal

Veterans Portal

Welcome to Charlotte's Veterans Portal!  The portal is designed to provide you greater transparency to the certification process, is mobile friendly, and will provide our office with greater efficiencies moving forward.  You may use this portal to determine the current status of your benefits, to upload relevant documents, complete the Benefits Enrollment process as well as more features to come later this fall

Benefits Enrollment

The entire certification process should take you less than 5 minutes.

We understand students want to be proactive but you must be admitted to the University of North Carolina and officially registered for courses. Click here to apply to Charlotte.

Once you are admitted and registered, you will need to complete the online Benefits Certification process.  To complete that process if using 1606, Chapter 30, Chapter 33 or Chapter 35, you will need to provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (CoE).   If you do not have your CoE yet, you need to apply for it via VA.gov.  Please have a copy available as you begin this process. If you have only recently requested it, you can, temporarily upload the Statement of Benefits:

If using Chapter 31, you will need to have your 1905 authorization (in the Tungsten system) already completed by your counselor.

Current Benefit User

Having used the portal before, your Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) should already be uploaded.  If it is not (or if you are currently using a Statement of Benefits; see above), then please upload your CoE as described in the "First Time User" section.

If you no longer have/can locate your CoE, you may either: go to the eBenefits website  or the VA.gov website.

A reminder, if you are using Chapter 31, you will need to have your 1905 authorization (in the Tungsten system) already completed by your counselor.

Finally, if you have questions about how many hours you must be enrolled in to qualify as full-time (and thus be eligible for full BAH), please click here.
