Qutub Veterans Lounge

Welcome to the Cpl. Robert Qutub Veterans Lounge at Charlotte. Located in Barnard Hall 108 (directly across the hall from the Veteran Services Office), this space opened in the fall of 2018 thanks to the generous contribution by Robert Qutub '88, Charlotte students are fortunate to have dedicated space for community, study and programming. Student veterans have 24 hour access to the lounge via their student ID's.

The lounge is a space for our veteran students (as well as active duty and National Guard members and reservists) to have a space that they can relax, interact with students with shared experiences and take advantage of the amenities it offers.  The Veterans Lounge is equipped with study desks, white boards, access to a printer as well as a microwave, coffee service, a refrigerator, and much more.

All we ask to access this space is that our students review and complete the lounge agreement that outlines the basic tenet that are expected of our student veterans in this space: respect others and be civil, maintaining of the space by cleaning up after oneself, respect the study space and be aware of others in that space, respecting others property, understanding that the lounge is for all veteran students (regardless of rank, occupation or branch), agreeing to abide by all university policies, rule and regulations including recognizing that the lounge is an alcohol, tobacco, drug and vape free space.
